go live is almost done! and i'm going to sleep for ever and ever when it's over... i can't wait.

so brett favre retired. i'm not going to say i'm not sad about it, but i'm not going to say i didn't see it coming either. it's going to be weird not having him on the field next season. he's been the quarterback since i started watching football. way back in middle school! isn't that crazy? so many years! they've had little graphs of how many quarterbacks other teams have had during his 16 year reign and it's pretty funny. So hats off to you Favre! And thanks. I enjoyed the hell out of watching you.

SUCK

well, frankly, the packers deserved to lose last night, as much as it pisses me off. the giants showed up for the game. the packers... not so much. really really disappointing.

in other news, Lauren and i had a nice little clip last night. i came home last night and spencer was there- still. 3 days straight. i told Lauren that it was time for him to go. and i'll own that i was very rude about it and could have approached it in a much more tactful way, but i've hit my limit. i didn't sign up to live with a couple and had i known it would be like this, i wouldn't have had lauren move in with me. as it is, i'm considering asking her to move out. i told her that it's driving me crazy having him over all of the time (and i've told her this a few times before) and that they need to start splitting the time equally between his place and ours. the kicker there- she think that i'm being unfair. i don't think that that's an unfair request, but her logic is that he's not over (that much) during the week (when i'm gone), so it just seems like he's over all the time to me because he's only over when i'm in town. what difference does it make? he's still over all the time when i'm home. i don't care how little he's around when i'm gone- that doesn't affect me at all. that logic makes no sense to me, but apparently i'm the unfair one here.

another huge source of annoyance: she gave him the code to the garage door without discussing it with me. That's the equivalent of giving him a key, and seeing as how it's my house, i really think that that one should have been run by me. i've come home several times with him there and lauren not there, and i know that he goes there when neither of us are there. not ok. i am damn close to charging the kid rent. anyway, i told lauren that that needs to stop immediately.

all of this said though, i think that my biggest problem with all of this is that it's really not a healthy relationship and neither of them see that. he's a puppy and will do whatever she says- and she walks all over him. she's had him clean her room and do her laundry. and he's like ok! ok! seriously? she also calls him names pretty much constantly- jackass is her favorite- and she's pretty mean to him, constantly criticizing and making fun of him. and he just takes it. because of this, i have no respect for this kid. he needs to grow pair and tell her to shove off. instead he just rolls over and takes it. But i can't talk to Lauren about this part. our relationship is already on somewhat rocky grounds after our fight last night and me telling her that she's a bitch towards spencer would probably set that over the edge at this point. some people are receptive to that information, lauren definitely isn't. so i'll just sit back and watch it unfold and drag on longer than it should and hope that one or the other of them will realize sooner rather than later that it needs to end. we'll see i guess.
